Shabbat Eve in Synagogue

The Shabbat evening service starts with Psalm 29:
Thereafter, a number of 'Mishnayot' are read that deal with the laws concerning the 'Shabbat lamp': Followed by "Lekha Dodi" Another melody for "Lekha Dodi": "Lekha Dodi" in a Moroccan melody: "Lekha Dodi" in another Moroccan melody: "Lekha Dodi" in a Ugandan melody: Amar Ribbi El`azar, follow by Qaddish deRabbanán: Psalms 92 and 93 are read: This is followed by the recitation of the "Shema". The following recording includes the blessings that introduce and end the Shema on the Eve of Shabbat: After the Shema comes the actual Shabbat Evening prayer. This is recited in silence by each person individually. During the summer months (between Passover and Sukkot): During the winter months (between Sukkot and Passover): Genesis 2: 1-3 Thereafter, a short summary of the Shabbat-Evening prayer is recited aloud by the Ḥazzán (the cantor). A communal recitation of Qaddish Yehé Shelamá Rabbá Barekhú (only when a minyan is present)
