Meals and Festivities
in the Sukka
|
A song called Bendigamos, is highly popular among Spanish and Portuguese (Western Sephardi) Jews. Even though it is especially connected to the Festival of Sukkot, it may also be sung on other special occasions throughout the year. Bendigamos is sung directly after "Birkat haMazon" (Grace after Meals). The late Reverend Abraham Lopes Cardozo only recorded the first and the last of the four couplets. In this recording, I inserted the second and the third. Unfortunately, the difference between Reverend Cardozo's voice and mine is not in my favor. |
